With technology being such a driving force in our modern day society, there is a huge need to bring more technology & STEM based programs to the community. The Kids Tech Boot Camp is a 3 day program launched by Travis A. Reeves and Nakita Coates (founder of Tech Time Academy) to educate the youth in Atlanta on web design, video game design, and robotics. Some of the material that will be covered will be educating the students on HTML tags, how to style your website using different colors and fonts, and how to add content to your website such as paragraphs, links, images, and Youtube videos. In addition to this, the students will get an introduction to Java in which they will learn functionality, animation, and video game design. The boot camp will conclude on Sunday with a Robotics lesson where the students will get introduced to the programming language used to allow robots to function. All elementary, middle school, and high school students are welcomed to attend. Parents may attend the class session with their kids as well.

We will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to the basics of computer programming (tag definition, tag structure)
  • Creating and styling our website using HTML coding language
  • Video game design and animation using Java coding language
  • Introduction to the fundamentals of robotics and programming language
